According to the Cape Long Distance Swimming Association, Rooibos – often mixed with honey or electrolytes – is gentle on the stomach, helps retain body warmth and supports hydration during long swims.

Dedication, loyalty, and passion were celebrated at Rooibos Limited’s 2025 Long Service Awards, where the company recognised employees who have contributed years of hard work and commitment to its success.

This year’s honourees represent a combined 145 years of service, spanning every part of the business – from production and maintenance to human resources and administration.

Rooibos Limited congratulates all recipients on their remarkable milestones. Their dedication and passion continue to strengthen the company’s legacy and uphold the values that make Rooibos Limited a leader in the industry.

Rooibos Limited was proud to support Jessie Waldman, who took part in this year’s Cederberg Traverse – one of South Africa’s most challenging endurance events.

Starting her race at 3pm on Friday and finishing around midday on Saturday, Jessie delivered an outstanding performance, becoming the first woman to cross the finish line and placing second overall. She proudly represented Rooibos Limited throughout the race, wearing a House of Rooibos-branded vest.

In addition to her incredible athletic achievement, Jessie also raised R20 000 on GivenGain in support of the Rocklands Association for Development, demonstrating the same spirit of commitment and community that defines Rooibos Limited.
