Spring 2019 Final Exams
The final exam schedule has been posted for Spring 2019! Students are asked to double-check the schedule in order to determine whether or not they have a conflict. A conflict is defined as two exams scheduled at the same time or four exams scheduled in one day. Please report any conflicts to the Principal’s Office. As always, during final exam days, students are required to be present only during the times they have exams. It is always difficult to find alternative times to take final exams and often it has a detrimental effect on a student’s performance on the exam. Therefore, we ask families to please make every effort to schedule around final exams so that all students are present at their assigned exam times. If you have any questions about finals scheduling please contact Shani Simonson in the Principal’s Office at ssimonson@brebeuf.org. Spring 2019 Underclass Final Exam Schedule Senior Final Exams Brebeuf Jesuit seniors will be taking final exams May 14-17. BREBEUF JESUIT THEATRE TO BE THE FIRST TO BRING
JOHN GREEN'S THE FAULT IN OUR STARS TO THE STAGEThis past December, Brebeuf Jesuit received generous permission from Indianapolis resident and best-selling author, John Green, to adapt his wildly popular and successful novel, The Fault in Our Stars, into a play. Mr. Strader quickly assembled an awesome group of seniors—Sammi Bilitz, Julia Hiatt, Nathan Nouri, and Chad Smitson—to make up the Theatre Studies in Playwriting Class. They have been working diligently since January on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This will be the world-premiere of this funny and heart-wrenching story, about appreciating the fragility of life and love. The play is finished and hot off the presses! Auditions will be held for existing Brebeuf students on Wednesday, May 15. Incoming students will have the opportunity to audition at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Performances are October 3-6. Only at Brebeuf Jesuit!

Student Spotlight
Sean Swenson '19
Loves About Brebeuf I love the sense of community Brebeuf Jesuit has. Brebeuf Jesuit also provides their students with a learning experience quite different than most schools in the country. That is a huge part of what makes Brebeuf such a dynamic learning environment. The structure of Brebeuf’s schedule has been a huge help to me as a student and as an athlete.
Future Plans I am continuing my academic and baseball careers at the University of Charleston. I plan to major in Business Administration with a focus in Business Law. My goal is to one day play professional baseball.
Favorite Class AP US Government with Mr. Kantz was definitely my favorite class.
Teams & Co-Curriculars - Varsity Baseball
- Intramural Basketball
Random Facts What is your current favorite show or series on TV, Netflix, etc. Dexter is the best series out there.
What is the silliest/most irrational fear you have? The most irrational fear I have is that life goes back in time. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Most definitely eggs. The Senior Assassins game is in full-swing. Are you still alive in the game? If not, how did you lose? Unfortunately, I died in the second round of the game after getting my second kill. I got eliminated because I didn’t get my target. Little did he know I was in his car for half an hour and had to run home to charge my phone so I could take the picture when I killed him. Bad move. You are now in your final semester at Brebeuf Jesuit. Has it sunk in yet? Quite honestly, it has only kicked in a little bit. I think that the excitement to graduate and have a much longer summer and then move on to the next step in life overrides the sadness of having to leave Brebeuf.
In what way have you changed the most since your freshman year? I have changed mentally, spiritually, and emotionally since first stepping foot in Brebeuf. I believe Brebeuf gives you a different perspective on life that is cherishable. Brebeuf has shown me not only how to deal with success, but also how to handle adversity when it strikes. I thank Brebeuf for providing me with an experience that will be a part of me forever.
