Fire Restrictions Implemented in Jefferson CountyAs of June 5, Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader implemented temporary Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for all lands in Jefferson County. These restrictions are being enacted due to current dry conditions favorable for the possibility of a wildfire and limited availability of fire control resources. The use of all fireworks is prohibited within the restricted area. Citizens wishing to obtain current fire restriction or fire ban information, firework regulations, burn permit information, or to report a firework violation can call the Jeffco Sheriff’s Fire Information Hotline at 303-271-8200. RTD Proposing Bus Route 85 EliminationThe Master Association recently learned about proposed changes to RTD bus route 85, which runs on Continental Divide Road down to Chatfield Ave. and then east along Chatfield Ave. and north on Platte Canyon to Mineral. RTD is proposing to eliminate the route due to low ridership. As an alternative, the entire route is in the South Jeffco Call-n-Ride service area. Volunteer PatrollersKen-Caryl Ranch Park Rangers would like to remind trail users that Volunteer Patrollers will be on the trail system verifying KCR membership and educating users on the Open Space Rules and Guidelines.
- Be COURTEOUS as they are your neighbors.
- Please display a bracelet, either a KCR ID (GREEN) or KCR Trail Club (RED), or identify yourself verbally as a member.
- There are 26 volunteer patrollers and each will be wearing a blue vest with a KCR Volunteer Patrol patch and identification.

Lacrosse CampAges: 7-12 years

Location: Ranch House Soccer Fields
Fee: Resident $124, Non-Resident $140
Lacrosse combines the basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced, high-scoring game. Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment.
