Ken-Caryl Ranch Computers and Phones Offline Feb. 19-21

The computers and phones for the Ranch House, Community Center and Dakota Lodge are scheduled to be unavailable and offline from noon on Friday, Feb. 19 through Sunday, Feb. 21. The computers and phones will not be available due to a scheduled equipment move as part of the bond projects to relocate the computer equipment to a permanent new location in the Ranch House basement. Because the computers and phones for the Community Center and Dakota Lodge, including the Ranger Office, are all part of the greater Ranch House system, the moving of the Ranch House computer file servers necessitates shut down of the entire system at all facilities. If you have a wildlife emergency, contact Colorado State Patrol at 303-273-1616. If you need to report suspicious activity, contact the Jefferson County Sheriff at 303-277-0211. Anyone wanting to pay with a credit card for a class or indoor court time at the Community Center will need to leave their card number, which will be put in the safe until the computers come back up.

Veterans Monument Donations Still Needed for Bronze Sculpture

The Veterans Monument at Ken-Caryl Ranch is located at the southeast corner of Crestone Mountain and Sangre de Cristo Road in Community Park. A bronze sculpture of a Bald Eagle is being created by a Ken-Caryl resident, Steve McCall. When completed, the Eagle will be placed on the center pedestal of the monument. Donations are still needed to help offset the cost of the bronze for the sculpture as well as to continue to improve and enhance the monument. You can donate any amount or purchase a $300 Honor Brick that will become a permanent part of the monument. Please see the Veterans Monument page on our website for details.

Tennis Lessons and Leagues

The next session of tennis lessons is Feb. 29 - May 7 for adults and Feb. 29 - May 13 for juniors. There are no lessons March 21-26. Registration for adult lessons begins Feb. 17, and the lottery deadline for junior lessons is Feb. 21. The Ken-Caryl Ranch phone and computer system will be down from noon Friday, Feb. 19 through Sunday, Feb. 21. If you have a lottery registration form, you will need to either call before noon on Friday, email it to judya@kcranch.org or drop it off at the Community Center in person. See the Adult Tennis or Junior Tennis pages for schedules and registration information.

Trash tote delivery started last week. While some of the totes have been delivered, the process may take a few weeks. If you haven't received your tote, please be patient and keep an eye out for delivery later this month. We encourage you to write your address on the totes since they all look the same. If you still want to order totes, send an email to kencarylco@wasteconnections.com or call the Ranch House at 303-979-1876. In the email or phone message, say that you want to sign up for totes and provide your name, address, email address and phone number. You can request both trash and recycling totes, just a trash tote, or just a recycling tote.
