|
|
|
NASA’s Europa Clipper spacecraft launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Monday, October 14. The Europa Clipper mission will conduct a detailed investigation of Jupiter’s moon Europa to determine whether there are places below its icy surface that could support life.

A National Academies Virtual Town Hall

What should the top science priorities be for the first human explorers on the surface of Mars? At the request of NASA, the National Academies is undertaking a study to identify key science campaigns to be addressed by human missions to Mars, including the types of samples to be collected and preliminary criteria for landing site selection.

The Department of Physics has started a weekly "Scribe & Vibe" for students, postdocs, and faculty to work on their scientific publications. The first 5-15 min are used for brief discussions. The rest is reserved for writing.
The sessions meet on Mondays, 2:30-4:00pm, in Compton 340. Drinks and snacks are offered. All MCSS members are invited to participate.
