Welcome back from summer camp!
"I love bringing teenagers to summer camp," says Alissa Holcomb, New Tampa Young Life area director, who just returned from Young Life's newest camp property, Carolina Point, where she spent a week with high school students. "We have the opportunity to unplug from the busyness of our daily lives and come face to face with Jesus through Young Life humor, high adventure on the zip line, and just simple real conversations during cabin time. It's a privilege to see teenagers' lives change right before my eyes, and to be a part of the journey when they come home."
In addition to the week at Carolina Point, New Tampa Young Life high school and middle school students completed three other camp trips this summer. Students who completed sixth grade spent a long weekend at Disney, seventh and eighth graders camped at Southwind (a Young Life camp near Ocala), and Capernaum students (those with special needs) also went to Southwind.
