Weigel Broadcasting's ABC affiliate/WBND (Channel 57, South Bend) reporter Allison Zeithammer exits after just over two years and joins the City of South Bend as their Director of Communications.

In Lafayette, they remember Kurt Lahrman, who was Promotions and Marketing Manager for the past 15 years at Allen Media Broadcasting's CBS affiliate/WLFI-TV (Channel 18, Lafayette). Mr. Lahrman battled cancer and died at age 46 on August 23. Here’s the complete obituary.

Where Are They Now? Former Cumulus/WMDH-FM (102.5fm, New Castle) morning co-host Anna Marie now co-hosts afternoons at WUBE in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Cumulus’ Country/WFMS (95.5fm, Fishers) recently had an on-air studio built for them, after an automobile accident back in July caused damage to their on-air studio. That prior studio will become home to sister Rock/WNDX (93.9fm, Lawrence).
Also, at WFMS, Matt Malone becomes Music Director and Afternoon drive host. Known on-air as ‘Matt Malone,’ he last worked as PD/Mornings for Mid-West Family’s Country/WYTZ (97.5fm, Bridgman, Michigan).
Finally at Cumulus, Rik Pike becomes Director of IT and Engineering. Mr. Pike last worked for Emmis Communications as their IT Manager and Director of Integrated Technologies.
Sarkes Tarzian's AAA/WTTS (92.3fm, Trafalgar) welcomes Crystal McKenzie to afternoons and programming assistant. Ms. McKenzie has tenure in the Indianapolis market at WFBQ, WZPL, and WKLU (under prior ownership).
Lots of changes at TEGNA's NBC affiliate/WTHR-TV (Channel 13, Indianapolis); Let’s break them down.
First, TEGNA promotes Scott Hums from Interim News Director to Director of Content.
Second, Nicole Block becomes News Director, joining from CBS O&O KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was Assistant News Director under former News Director Kathy Hostetter (herself a former WTHR News Director). Ms. Block begins with WTHR-TV this month.
Finally, Meteorologist Chelsea Stevens joins WTHR. The Ball State University graduate and Center Grove native last worked at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky.
Circle City Broadcasting's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) welcomes Lena Pringle to co-anchor their weekday ‘Daybreak’ morning news. Ms. Pringle last anchored and reported for WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida. Also, investigative reporter Jasmine Minor adds weekend evening anchor responsibilities, succeeding Nina Criscuolo. Finally, WISH-TV hires Kayla Sullivan to report on family and parenting. Ms. Sullivan is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis.
iHeart/Indianapolis names Leon Williamson as VP/Sales. Mr. Williamson last worked for iHeart/Miami, as a Senior Account Executive. Prior to iHeart, he worked for Cox/Miami and Urban One/St. Louis (LSM and Digital Sales Manager). Also, at their Alternative/WOLT (103.3fm, Indianapolis), the station rebrands as ‘Indy 103.3’, playing 1990s and 2000s alternative music. The programming lineup includes The Woody Show in morning drive, Theresa in middays, Marcotte handling afternoons, and Mike Jones doing nights.
Country/WLHK (97.1fm, Shelbyville) APD/morning co-host Joey Tack exits and joined Cumulus’ WIVK in Nashville, Tennessee for mornings, and afternoons (as ‘Jesse’) at WUBE in Cincinnati. Now in mornings at 97.1 Hank FM are the duo of Annie Fox and Cole Dunbar, as Annie & Cole. Ms. Fox last hosted co-hosted mornings for Cumulus’ WMDH-FM (102.5fm, New Castle), while Mr. Dunbar last did afternoons for Cumulus’ AC/WNTR (107.9fm, Indianapolis) and produced the Smiley in the Morning show for Cumulus sister CHR/WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield).
Mindy Winkler previously hosted mornings on 97.1 Hank FM solo, since Mr. Tack exited; Ms. Winkler now does nights.
Over at Nexstar FOX affiliate WXIN-TV (Channel 59, Indianapolis), the Saturday morning local news now starts at 7:00am instead of 6:00am.
Where Are They Now? Former WRTV-TV Senior News Producer Kelly Hicks is now the Director of News Training for Nexstar.

Nexstar ABC affiliate WEHT-TV (Channel 25, Evansville) and Mission Broadcasting's CW affiliate WTVW (Channel 7, Evansville) News Director Bob Freeman will retire at the end of November. In his 45-year career, he’s spent 21 years as a TV News Director at either Evansville’s WFIE-TV (Channel 14), or at WEHT-TV/WTWV-TV.
King Spectrum, LLC sells the Low Power TV Construction Permit for W06DG-D (Channel 6, Evansville) to Lowcountry 34 Media, LLC for $11,000. Bob Heymann of Media Services Group served as the exclusive broker for King Spectrum, LLC.
DTV America 1, LLC sells the Low Power TV station Construction Permit for W10DG-D (Channel 10, Evansville), W19EW-D (Channel 19, Evansville), and a Santa Barbara, California Low Power TV station Construction Permit to Castelli Media, LLC. The purchase price for all three is $35,000. Bob Heymann of Media Services Group served as the exclusive broker for DTV America 1, LLC.

Lakeshore Public Radio – 89.1 FM (WLPR-FM) is seeking a talented part-time on-air announcer for Morning Edition, for local news, traffic, and weather.
Responsibilities:
Live on-air board operation for morning network news magazine. Switch programming functions from network to local programming; accurately and seamlessly segue from content shared by all stations to content specific to individual stations. Read and write weather, traffic, and other announcements. Troubleshoot technical difficulties.
Generate journalism content (both interviews and other reporting) in concert with the news team. Meet regularly with news and contribute to editorial plans.

Qualifications:
At least two years of professional on-air experience in a similar drive time host or reporter position.
Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or journalism or related field.
Public Radio experience preferred.
A working understanding of public radio content and style, including strong writing skills.
Strong radio board operation skills.
Strong audio production, and digital editing skills with audio editing software, Adobe Audition preferred.
Proficiency in using Windows computer software, internet skills, Audiovault broadcast automation system, NewsBoss writing software, and high level of technical competency.
Sophisticated knowledge of national, regional, and local current events and politics, in keeping with National Public Radio standards, is expected by the audience.
