Growing Future Leaders: An Update on the Inaugural Staff LEAD Cohort |
|
|
|
The inaugural Staff LEAD Program has reached the halfway point, with our cohort of staff members actively engaged in a structured leadership development journey. Through Seminars 1–3, participants explored leadership styles, self-awareness, motivation, and personal discipline. We are now looking ahead to Seminar 4, which will focus on empathy and social awareness.
What truly brings this program to life are the people in the room. Guest speakers share real-world experiences, interactive activities transform concepts into practice, and each session fosters meaningful engagement. Through intentional growth and reflection, this cohort is developing the leadership capabilities that will shape not only their own careers, but also the culture of our university for years to come.
Interested in learning more about Staff LEAD? Visit our webpage to learn more about the program, and keep an eye out for information about upcoming information sessions and the 2027 cohort, coming soon. This program is made possible by the generosity and support of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women's Leadership.

It’s a great time to review your Payroll information in Oracle Cloud.
Taking a few minutes to review your payroll information in Oracle can help make sure your pay and tax information is accurate and up to date.
NOTE: Log in to Oracle Cloud and choose ME and then PAY for all of the below options:
|
Payment Methods: Check Your Direct Deposit |
Take a moment to review your current direct deposit elections in Oracle Cloud.
Make sure:
|
-
Your bank account information is accurate.
- All accounts listed are still active.
- Your pay is being distributed to the account(s) you intended.
- Old or closed accounts have been removed.
|
Note: Never send your bank account or routing number by email. Direct deposit information should be entered and updated securely through Oracle Cloud > Me > Pay > Payment Methods.
|
Tax Withholding: Review Your W-4 Information. |
Your W-4 form tells Payroll how to calculate your federal income tax withholding. It may be a good time to review your elections if you’ve experienced a significant life or financial change or simply haven’t looked at your W-4 in awhile.
Note: Payroll cannot provide individual tax advice or tell you how to complete your W-4. Employees are responsible for determining the withholding elections that are appropriate for their individual tax situation.
|
My Payslips: Review, download, or print your official Payslips. |
Your payslip provides the details behind your net pay such as:
|
- Gross Pay
- Federal Taxes
- Pre-Tax Deductions
- Other Deductions
- Net Pay
- Year-to-Date Totals
|
Document Delivery Preferences |
Would you prefer your W-2 be mailed or delivered electronically via ADP? Please review your delivery preference and make any necessary change by 12/15/26. To update your W-2 delivery method, choose W_2 and edit preferences and update your preference.

| LinkedIn Spotlight: Psychological Safety |
|
|
|
What makes this 34-minute course particularly valuable is that it moves beyond the idea that psychological safety is simply “good for people” or helps teams feel good. Edmondson connects psychological safety to the behaviors that help teams navigate change, collaborate, innovate, take appropriate risks, and ultimately achieve better outcomes.
One point that stands out is that psychological safety should not be confused with a lack of accountability. The two actually go hand in hand. Accountability means holding people to high standards; psychological safety means creating an environment that permits and reinforces learning, innovation, collaboration, and people trying their best.
In other words, we shouldn't focus so heavily on outcomes that we neglect the process. If we want people to meet high expectations, we need to intentionally create the conditions that make success more likely.
For anyone interested in understanding the leadership behaviors that create the conditions for effectiveness and success, this course is well worth the time.
