On Oct. 6, Boston 25 News featured our research team and the EQUAL Study, which is exploring whether a blood test could help detect signs of certain lung cancers earlier.
The study focuses on East Asian and Hispanic/Latinx individuals who have never used tobacco and may not qualify for routine lung cancer screening.
Watch the Boston 25 News feature below to learn more about the study and the team's efforts to advance early detection.

The FHINCH Study is a research study examining how cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies (cancer pills), may affect fertility and sexual health in young women diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The study includes two participation pathways. Participants across the United States may participate remotely through a one-time Fertility Wellness Survey and optional focus groups. Participants receiving care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute may additionally participate in longitudinal study activities, including follow-up surveys and biological assessments over time.
By learning directly from participants, the FHINCH Study aims to improve communication, supportive care, and educational resources related to fertility and sexual health for young women receiving cancer treatment.
