Community

Walk the Walk Week Service Project

This year's Walk the Walk Week Service Project addresses the immediate needs of homeless and housing-insecure individuals in the greater South Bend area. Find out how to donate toiletries, food and other essential items. You can also volunteer to help sort and package donations at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, in the Duncan Student Center. This project is co-sponsored by Notre Dame Student Government and Campus Ministry in partnership with the Office of the President.

Noon basketball: Exercise and community

There’s one place where basketball is always in season — a never-ending noon pickup game with a roster largely made up of Monday-Wednesday-Friday regulars, with all newcomers welcomed. Read what some players have to say about their love for the game.

Safety

Safety is no game ... or is it?

Risk Management and Safety has designed a Wordle-like game to highlight the importance of safety. Uncover a five-letter word that reveals a message to keep safety top of mind. Play "Word to the Wise" the first Tuesday of every month in NDWorks Weekly for a chance to win monthly prizes and participate in a grand-prize drawing.
