In honor of the Inauguration of President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., the University partnered with Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County to help construct five affordable homes for local families. Enjoy these photos from the week-long build.

Although Global Day of Action traditionally falls on a Wednesday, the Notre Dame community is encouraged to take part in an event anytime between September 30 and October 6. Consider how you can make a difference in your community by engaging in a service act—every individual has impact.

Sustainability 

YMCA Greatest Chefs of Michiana returns

Each year, Notre Dame engages in the YMCA Greatest Chefs of Michiana event, supporting YMCA programming for children in need and focusing on a shared commitment to sustainability. Geory Kurtzhals, senior director for sustainability, and Chef Ryli Vissers, director of culinary for hospitality, are partnering for the event on October 17. Read about the delicious and sustainable dish they’ll present: fall root vegetable pavé.
