Have you noticed the new green pledge on the ordering screens at Cardinal Café? It’s a friendly nudge to encourage proper waste sorting and is part of a student fellowship project through Sustainable Stanford’s Living Lab Fellowship program.
To reinforce the pledge, the café also replaced single-use condiment sachets with refillable dispensers, cutting waste at the source and reducing contamination during sorting. Together, these updates support SRWC’s zero-waste goals, one order at a time.
(Know a student who wants to help make campus more sustainable? Paid student positions are open through February 23.)
