INDUSTRY 4.0 CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO SUPPORT WEST MICHIGAN MANUFACTURERS
Lakeshore Advantage, with support from partners at The Right Place, Greater Muskegon Economic Development, Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center-West (The Center-West), and Michigan Economic Development Corporation, launched a West Michigan Industry 4.0 campaign to increase manufacturers’ smart manufacturing technology adoption readiness. Implementing Industry 4.0 technologies into operations helps manufacturers create opportunities for improved efficiencies, higher revenues, and increased innovation. Read the full press release HERE

A Historic Food Processing Expansion for West Michigan

Request Foods Inc., a frozen entrees, sides, and skillet meal co-packing company, is investing $205,000,000 in expanding their operations in Holland Charter Township. They are adding a 145,000 square foot cold storage warehouse, constructing an 89,000 square foot Ready-to-Eat foods manufacturing facility and renovating an existing 30,000 square foot warehouse, as well as enhancing production capacity by adding 112,000 square feet to their Greenly Street location. This project is expected to lead to the creation of 198 jobs over the next four years.
