Water Conservation & Turf Reduction Plans and Open House
Date: Tuesday, April 5
Time: 5-6 p.m.
Location: Ranch House
As part of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Landscape Master Plan, there are proposed areas throughout the Valley and North Ranch where Ken-Caryl Ranch can reduce water usage through turf reduction. You can review maps for each turf reduction area on our Bond Projects site. On each map, there’s a highlighted yellow area that shows where sprinklers will be turned off. Dryland grasses rather than irrigated turf will then be allowed to flourish in those areas, and the Parks Department will control weeds as needed. There will be an open house for residents to ask questions and discuss the plans on Tuesday, April 5 from 5-6 p.m. at the Ranch House. You can also email your comments to bondprojects@kcranch.org.

| Prom Photo Opportunities at the Manor HouseA few residents have expressed concerns that the Manor House won’t allow photos to be taken on the front steps of the building or around the property. The Manor House is a privately owned business that is not owned or managed by Ken-Caryl Ranch. The owners of the Manor House understand that the historical building is a wonderful place for photos before special events such as prom. With that in mind, the owners have set up times for special photo opportunities on prom day for the following schools:
Dakota Ridge: April 9 from 4-5 p.m.
Chatfield and Mullen: April 23 from 4-5 p.m.
Columbine: April 30 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
During the special prom photo time slot, residents can come up and take photos. After that time, cars will be turned away at the entrance as the Manor House has special events on all of those dates.
