A Message from Denise Brodsky
Celebrating World Mental Health Day and a New Chapter Ahead
As we recognize World Mental Health Day, a time to honor hope, healing, and community, I find myself reflecting deeply on my journey with Clubhouse Atlanta. After years of incredible growth, shared challenges, and countless moments of inspiration, I have made the decision to retire from my role with this remarkable organization.
This is not goodbye, but rather a celebration of what we’ve built together — a thriving, compassionate community where people living with mental health challenges find purpose, belonging, and dignity every single day. I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of connection — how work, friendship, and shared responsibility can change lives.
To our Members: you have been my teachers, my motivation, and my joy. To our Board, staff, volunteers, and supporters: thank you for believing in this mission and for walking beside me in it. Together, we have shown that recovery is possible and that community is the foundation for wellness.
As Clubhouse Atlanta enters its next chapter — and I enter mine — I do so with profound gratitude and pride. The work continues, and the vision remains strong. On this World Mental Health Day, may we all recommit ourselves to breaking stigma, building connection, and ensuring that everyone has a place to belong.
With heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes,
Denise Brodsky
