Jonathan Calm is a contemporary American visual artist and Assistant Professor of Photography at Stanford University. His photography, video, installation, and performance art analyzes urbanism, automobility, and other socio-cultural themes. His series “Green Book - Journey Through the South” is an exploration and study on how African-American upward mobility is reflected through car ownership.

Apexer, also known as Ricardo Richey, is a street artist with a background in graphic design and architecture. Apexer creates color fused abstract patterns and inventive forms through the use of spray paint. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, the murals of Apexer can be found throughout San Francisco on exterior walls and buildings as well as in curated collections of top technology firms.

Growing up, Riley Holloway developed an early interest in art, learning from his mother, who is an artist herself. His contemporary portfolio primarily of portraits and still life compositions are developed in traditional oil painting and hand drawing. His subjects are people who inspire him, and Holloway pays homage to their stories and influences, beautifully revealing the substance of each subject.

Cardinal Hall Fire (Evacuation) Drill |
SRWC Operations will conduct an annual fire drill (building evacuation drill) at Cardinal Hall on
Friday, February 2 at 2:10 p.m.
During the drill, the fire alarm system inside Cardinal Hall will be activated, and the annunciators and strobes may be audible/visible from other buildings. No action is needed outside of Cardinal Hall.
Cardinal Hall occupants should acknowledge any audio or visual alarms when activated, walk calmly but quickly to the nearest emergency exit/stairwell (do NOT use elevators), and check-in at the designated Emergency Assembly Point (EAP).
We ask for your full cooperation during the evacuation drill. We recognize these drills may interrupt your schedule, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This year, we are celebrating over 20 years of food waste compost collection at the Stanford University campus! Although we have been composting yard trimmings since the 1980’s, Stanford started composting food waste in 2003, with a pilot program in Wilbur Dining Hall. The newest program on campus, the Zero Waste Building System, will ensure that the entire Stanford community has access to compost bins.
