NAM Unveils 200th Historical Timeline!

Physicians have a rich history in Middle Tennessee, and we are honored to be able to display this in a virtual way for all to access and enjoy! New technologies have given us the ability to display our history and share from books, letters, maps, newspapers, and more, dating back to our founding on March 5, 1821.
Visit www.nashvillemedicine.org/timeline to view our historical timeline including 255 timeline points of NAM's history and the impact that physicians have made in Nashville and Middle Tennessee over 200 years.

Meet Our Newest Team Members

COVID-19 Fatality Review Program

The Office of the State Chief Medical Examiner has created a COVID-19 Fatality Review Program to facilitate the review of death certificates in fatalities which might be due or related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The Federal Emergency Management Agency recently received funding to reimburse families for funeral expenses in COVID-related deaths if the death certificate lists the diagnosis. Families seeking review and amendment of death certificates may have already contacted physicians with whom you work. The COVID-19 Fatality Review Program will request and review relevant medical records and amend the death certificate in qualifying cases, sparing busy clinicians this sometimes burdensome administrative task and enabling families to collect benefits when appropriate.

Reach the COVID-19 fatality review coordinator at COVID.DC@tn.gov or at 615-772-3789 during normal business hours.
