At Tulane, living in community means more than just co-existing; it’s an invitation to actively engage with each other and nurture a culture of learning and growth. In the July module, titled Make Way for Community (now open!), you'll be introduced to Housing & Residence Life and explore how living and learning blend seamlessly to enrich your undergraduate experience. Plus, you'll discover how you can prepare for Move-In!
You’ll have the entire month to complete the module at your own pace. It’s available now on your Canvas dashboard and is due by July 31.
Important reminder: If you haven't completed the May or June modules yet, please do so prior to beginning the July module.

You’re almost ready for Move-In! This is one of the most exciting times for students, their families, and the Tulane community. Housing & Residence Life has outlined the Move-In day process here and in the July New Student Module. Read through this information carefully and share it with those who will support you during your move so that you can make a plan for your arrival.
|
Residential first-year students will move in between Sunday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 12. You should have received an email from Housing & Residence Life with your assigned Move-In date and 30-minute arrival time slot.
In the July module, we’ll share more detailed information about Move-In logistics, including how to ship packages to campus, room details, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Trash to Treasure is a student organization dedicated to reducing waste from our annual move-in and move-out cycles. Each spring, students donate gently used items as they move out of residence halls. These items are then resold at reduced prices during fall Move-In, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
At the Trash to Treasure sale, you can purchase gently used hangers, mirrors, lamps, small furniture, electronics, drying racks, storage options, décor, and more! Tulane branded shirts and swag are free!

To support your transition to campus, we've created a "TU Do" list of important tasks to complete throughout the summer. We highly encourage you to review the checklist at the start of each month for a reminder of upcoming tasks and deadlines.
|
Below are just a few of the checklist items to complete in July:
|
-
July 10: Submit your info and upload your photo to be included in the 2025 Who's New at TU New Student Book. You may also order copies and parent messages with this selection.
- Order all AP/IB credits to be sent to Tulane.
-
July 12: Complete your summer advising appointment.
- July 15: Review schedule and make additional changes beginning July 15.
-
Mid-July: Required Wellness Courses Available - Check your Tulane email for instructions on completing five required online wellness courses about alcohol, sexual violence prevention, mental wellbeing, sexual health and sexual literacy. You have until August 18 to finish these online courses.
-
July 15: Immunization Compliance Deadline - This is the deadline to submit your completed Tulane immunization compliance form and/or vaccine records via the Patient Portal. Tulane must have evidence of a student’s compliance with the state guidelines for immunizations. Failure to meet these requirements will result in a registration hold being placed on your student account, which will bar you from dropping or adding classes in the Fall semester and/or enrolling for Spring semester classes.

Plus, we'll share a few programs that offer mentorship opportunities exclusively for first-year students. Stay tuned and check your Tulane inbox on July 15 for the next edition!
Until then, you can catch up on previous editions of The Navigator on our website!
