Phased Library Reopening, Holds Carryout & Returns
We will begin accepting returns on June 15 at Main Library, by last name. Please do not return items to the branches. To ensure safety, we will quarantine all returned materials for 72 hours. Library due dates for items currently checked out have been extended until June 30, and we have eliminated fines. Please use the following schedule for returning materials, to help our limited staff safely process and quarantine materials, :
-Beginning June 15: Patrons with last names beginning with letters A-L may return materials at outdoor book returns at both the Arapahoe and Canyon entrances at Main Library
-Beginning June 22: Patrons with last names beginning with letters M-Z may return materials at outdoor book returns at both the Arapahoe and Canyon entrances at Main Library

Conversations in English Returns
Practice English Online with Friends from Around the World
Adult English learners, practice speaking and listening skills in a friendly environment. Groups meet online using Zoom video chat software. Attend the free groups any time. There is no homework, just sign up to get started.

Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Hang out, play games, and plan library events and activities during our weekly Teen Chats. Online, rain or shine. For teens in grades 6-12. Registration required to receive attendance link.

Fake News Panel with Q&A
Thurs. June 11, 4 p.m.
CU panelists explain what is and isn't fake news. Learn how to separate fact from fiction and sift through the flood of promotions, social media posts and conspiracy theories we encounter daily online. Streaming on our YouTube page, no registration required.

From March 13-May 21, 66 volunteers gave at least 470 hours to 711 unique assignments. This volunteer work includes BoulderReads tutoring, oral histories, wireless hotspot distribution and virtual tech help in both Spanish and English, the Teen Advisory Board, Go Club for Kids & Teens, and more.
"A number of folks enjoyed them throughout their stay. Thank you so much, the books are very much appreciated!!" -Megan, City of Boulder Covid Recovery Center (CRC) . In March, Boulder Public Library purchased dozens of books for the CRC, to help people find comfort while recovering from COVID-19.
