Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey encourages education, self-creation to fight ignorance

Notre Dame students contribute to South Bend mural celebrating the immigrant experience

Reflecting themes of hope and renewal, a new mural outside La Casa de Amistad in South Bend commemorates the emotional journey for people who immigrate to the U.S. The mural is a collaboration between La Casa and artist and educator Freddy Rodriguez, with input and assistance from students with the Center for Social Concerns.

Columbus Murals scheduled to be uncovered

For instructional purposes, the Columbus Murals on the second floor of the Main Building will be uncovered from Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3. Signage near the murals will indicate that the coverings have been removed to allow instructors and their students to engage with and discuss the murals. More information about the Columbus Murals, their history and their use by instructors can be found here.
