Summer 2021!
Here's the info many of us have been waiting for: youth plans for the summer of 2021! After being forced to drastically drawback last year, it's so exciting to see events starting to fill the calendar. Due to adjustments in the school calendar it's an extremely short summer, but that won't stop us from making some great memories this year. Here are the most important dates to put on your calendar. We have some great opportunities coming up to invite friends to join us. Also, be on the lookout for some smaller fellowship and pop up events announced via subsequent newsletters, social media, and the Remind app. More details are to come, and be checking your physical mailboxes for the summer mailer coming in a few days with all of these plans and more for our whole church family.
Key Summer Dates
May 23: Youth/Parent volleyball game. Meet us at Liberty Park from 5:30-7pm for some friendly competition and food (dinner provided).
June 6: Summer kickoff! Welcome back summer with some fun in the sun.
June 9, 16, 23, & 30: Youth will have their own events overlapping with this year's kids and families evening VBS.
July 11: Youth will be holding a meal to-go kitchen fundraiser event coinciding with the kids' ministry water play day.
August 4-8: Staycation & Service Week. Four days of come-when-you-can service projects during the day before fun and games in the evening, culminating in our first overnight activity since the 2020 Gathering--we'll close with a spend-the-night event on Saturday before heading to church together for Promotion Sunday and the kickoff of our fall activities.
August 15: Youth/Parent back to school meeting, in place of Sunday night activities.
