Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework intended to improve teaching and learning for all students based on scientific insights into how humans learn. This seminar will cover the strengths (and limitations) of UDL. As part of Women’s History Month, members of Baylor’s History Department, in collaboration with the John and Nancy Jackson Chair for Baylor in Latin America, have organized a panel featuring perspectives from Latina “changemakers” whose activism and careers have made the city of Waco a more just and equitable place. This event is the product of conversations with the university’s community partners about the prospect of connecting students to the city’s Hispanic community. Free and open to the public!

Christian Scholars Forum hosts biweekly meetings to discuss books/articles exploring the implications of researching and teaching as Christians. This semester we are reading George M. BUCC is offering several QPR Gatekeeper Trainings this semester, giving you the chance to become a mental health ally. Our upcoming session is on Wednesday, 3/26/2025 from 5:30-7:00 PM in Moody 104 Active Learning Lab. Register here.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. This training teaches you to recognize the warning signs of a potential suicide crisis and equips you with the skills to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. You'll leave with the tools and education needed to reduce suicidal behaviors and provide support to those in need.
