Standard Forms at PARealtor.org Website Has a New Look

For preparing and sending standard forms, most REALTORS sign into their zipForms account. For behind the scenes information and education about individual forms, REALTORS visit parealtor.org. It is here that REALTORS find “Guidelines for Preparation and Use” and information on recent revisions to forms. If you are a frequent visitor to this site you may have noticed a new look. Using the “Standard Forms” tab a sortable table makes it easy to find forms using the name of the form or the call letters of the form. A third column sorts the list by revision date. To see just what’s been revised recently, use the “Standard Forms (Revised)” tab.

The tab at the far right provides an opportunity to ask questions or provide feedback on forms. The feedback tab is a valuable tool for all REALTORS Standard Forms are living documents. The forms must keep up with the laws and practices of REALTORS across the state. Use this feature to let the Standard Forms Committee know your thoughts.

Repairs/Corrections Addendum Standard Form Compatible With MCOCA

The Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS’ Standard Forms Committee decided earlier this month to approve and publish a revised Repairs/Corrections Required by Third Parties Addendum to the Agreement of Sale (Form RRT). The revisions make Form RRT more compatible with new point-of-sale procedures following the passage of amendments to the Municipal Code and Ordinance Compliance Act (MCOCA). MCOCA sets guidelines that all municipalities must follow if use and occupancy permits are required prior to a sale (for a more in-depth review of MCOCA and its application, check out this article). Before these amendments, standards differed by municipality and were often a source of frustration for buyers and sellers. Read more.
