Homeowner Patti Crockett captured this stunning moment in her garden, a Western Tiger Swallowtail butterfly resting delicately on fragrant lilac blossoms. A true sign that summer is in full swing. Thank you, Patti, for sharing this lovely snapshot from your corner of the community!
We would love to feature your photo in an upcoming mailing. If you're interested in having your photo highlighted in the weekly news, please submit images to: jessica.hennessy@rvrma.org.

Irrigation water will be temporarily shut off for residents on Heritage Drive, Cedar Creek, and Lakeside Drive starting Monday, June 30, to allow for a mainline repair. Water will be back on by Wednesday, July 2 just in time to keep those summer gardens happy. Thanks for your patience while we make this important fix!

Ascochyta leaf blight can cause large irregular patches of turf to quickly turn straw-brown in color and appear dead. From a distance, the symptoms resemble drought stress. Our crews have noticed areas on RVR common lands suffering from this blight. We are experimenting with techniques to better control the issue. If your lawn is suffering from these symptoms despite receiving adequate water, you can click here for detailed information on Ascochyta Leaf Blight.

Community Alert: Call Carbondale PD with Tips |
|
|
|
We’ve recently seen some graffiti pop up around the neighborhood mostly on sidewalks and a few signs. It may be the result of some mischief, possibly by local kids, but we’re taking it seriously and have reported it to the Carbondale Police Department, who are investigating.
If you notice anything out of the ordinary or have information that might help, please feel free to contact the Carbondale PD at (970) 963-2662. Thanks for helping us look out for one another!

To help control invasive weeds identified by Garfield County, RVRMA will be spot spraying select noxious weeds on vacant lots this summer. This annual service helps protect our beautiful natural landscape and keeps us in compliance with county regulations. Spraying is scheduled for July 2 or 3, weather permitting. Visit the Landscape page of our website to learn more.
This service applies only to vacant lots, and if you opt out, please be sure your lot is weed-free to help prevent spread to neighboring properties.
Learn more about noxious weed regulations at the Garfield County website.
