Assistant Professor Nasrin Golshany has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to study how interior environments can improve the health and well-being of older adults in long-term care.

The Soraya’s new executive and artistic director brings more than 20 years of performing arts experience and an ambitious vision for connecting with CSUN students and the diverse Los Angeles community. 

Friday, September 11, is the last day for a partial withdrawal refund and the last day for graduate students to drop/swap classes online. After that, formal approval is required to drop. You may add classes online with instructor permission.

Did you know? Reducing the number of enrolled units may affect your eligibility for financial aid (including Satisfactory Academic Progress), campus housing, international student status and more. Before dropping, review the potential impact for your situation.

CSUN Funder is the university’s official crowdfunding platform. It’s designed to help students, faculty and staff raise money for eligible campus programs, organizations or projects — from the Matador Motorsports Formula One race car to student film projects.

Please join the Veterans Resource Center to mark 25 years since 9/11. The program begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 11, in the University Student Union’s Northridge Center. 

Matador Nights welcomes students back with a vibrant celebration featuring food, entertainment, carnival games, music and much more, starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 18. It’s free and only open to CSUN students, with a valid student ID or MataCard.

Broadway star Sutton Foster makes her Soraya debut with the 40-piece Pacific Jazz Orchestra, led by seven-time Grammy-nominated Chris Walden, for a wonderful evening of Broadway and beyond, featuring new arrangements written by Walden specifically for this concert. Limited balcony seating is available for this one-night event.

The CSUN AT Conference, taking place from March 8 to 12, 2027, is the largest conference on assistive technology and accessibility, promoting an inclusive world for people with disabilities. The conference offers hundreds of educational sessions on a variety of topics. Become a presenter — submit your session ideas now through September 22, 2026.

This adaptation of Georges Feydeau’s classic comedy is a whirlwind of mistaken identities and secret rendezvous, September 23 to 26 at the Experimental Theatre at The Soraya.
