How to Ethically & Effectively Use AI in Your Career Search: Artificial Intelligence has become a common tool for many students to utilize. However, it is important to make sure you are not only using it effectively but also ethically as well. Join the Career Center and Grad School on October 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a professional development workshop to enhance your AI skills and to learn how to integrate AI use to help your career search.

Thesis Boost: Thesis Boost is an intensive writing boot camp that offers dedicated time for you to make significant progress on your thesis, project, or dissertation. This two-day program provides individual project time, peer consultant support, writing & research workshops, and so much more. Learn more about the event and $25 registration fee by visiting our website. RSVPs and payment are due Thursday, October 9th. Please note that The Graduate School has offered to reimburse the cost of attending for participants that complete the full program. Space is limited!

Graduate Academic Conference Fund: The Graduate Academic Conference Fund (G-ACF) is available to support graduate students who have been invited to present or perform at a conference or professional meeting. The purpose of these grants is to encourage student presentations at academic conferences by assisting with the cost of travel and attendance. The G-ACF grant funds are awarded four times a year and the current round of applications for conference dates between January 1st and March 31st are now open!

Student Highlight: Scott Strayer, a Master of Science in Engineering student at Grand Valley, had the opportunity to participate in the Micro-g NExT Challenge for NASA. He led his team which was created through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers club to enhance the Lunar Flagpole that is placed on the moon by creating a flag that is better suited for the journey.
