UO EVENTS
  • Learn about initiating a trip through the Outdoor Program at the Winter Trip Initiator Clinic tonight at 6:00 p.m.
  • Next Tuesday, 5:30–7:30 p.m. the BeSeries is presenting BeHashtag with April Reign, a talk about advocacy for diversity, inclusion and representation in Hollywood. 
  • At the Student Sustainability Fair next Thursday you can get involved with the community and learn how to make a difference.
  • Pizza with the Chief will be Friday in EMU 023. Join UOPD Chief Carmichael for questions about UOPD services and free pizza.
  • Connect the Ducks will be giving free groceries to the first winner of each Grocery Bingo round Wednesday night, 6:00–7:00 p.m.

  • The UOPD is recruiting students for paid training positions in their cadet academy with the goal of increasing representation of women and underrepresented community members in policing.
  • Applications for the Counseling Center Student Advisory Board are due January 31. This position comes with a $150 stipend.

NOTEWORTHY
  • There will be several events and speakers honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. throughout next week.
  • If you can't afford necessary school supplies or clothing, or you have extra gently used things to donate, the UO Free Store is open Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • "Clade" by James Bradley has been selected as the UO Common Reading for 2020-21.
ARTS AND CULTURE
  • The University Counseling Center is accepting art entrees for their All Sizes Fit body positivity campaign until February 17.
  • The Patagonia Experience is a mixed media conservation science exhibit in Allen Hall where you can take a virtual reality tour of glaciers in Patagonia.
  • "Seeing Alaska," an exhibit in the EMU Aperture Gallery, explores how the wildlife in Cordova, Alaska lives with climate change.
