Ambassadors Recognize Owatonna Country Club Milestone

Ambassadors from Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism visited the Owatonna Country Club, 1991 Lemond Road in Owatonna to help celebrate their 100th Anniversary of the business. Pictured is Dan Jacott, General Manager and Julia Seykora, Director of Sales and Membership.  The Owatonna Country Club is private 18-hole golf course including fine dining, fitness room, pool and banquet facilities for weddings and special events.

Webinar: How to Comply with New "Wage Theft" Law


A new state law passed the 2019 Legislature addressing what is commonly referred to as “wage theft”: shortchanging employee paychecks.

The new law’s increased notice and record-keeping requirements go into effect July 1, 2019. Criminal sanctions take effect Aug. 1, 2019.

Hands-Free Law Effective August 1, 2019

The hands-free bill was signed by Gov. Tim Walz on April 12, 2019, and becomes law on Aug. 1, 2019. Check out the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for questions and penalties on the new hands-free law.  Click HERE for in-depth details.

  • The OACCT Office will be closed on the 4th of July.  The Board of Directors and Staff wish you a Happy & Safe Independence Day.  Fireworks are 10pm at Steele Co Fair.

July Downtown Thursday July 11th

The event features another Owatonna Native, Travis Thamert!   “His new single "Midnight Air" is out and his career is beginning to shape into the next level.  Having climbed through a few key audition rounds on NBC The Voice, Thamert started drawing more attention at nearby watering holes where fans soon started falling for his deep voice and stage presence. 


Fun and musical groups in two spaces. Travis will be playing in the green space at 215 N. Cedar at 5:30PM and the Owatonna Community Band will be playing in Central Park at 7 PM.  Bring your friends and family.  Thank you to our main sponsor Jaguar Communications!

Owatonna 4th Fireworks Accepting Donations


With the 4th of July right around the corner, the Owatonna Chamber Foundation is accepting donations for the 2019 4th of July fireworks display starting at dusk at the Steele County Fair Grounds.
