Dear students,
As we approach the first home Ducks football game of the fall quarter, it is my sincere hope you take advantage of all that the University of Oregon has to offer to make the most of your student experience.
As a UO student, please remember that our expectations for you include positive and respectful behavior at all activities and events, including athletic competitions. All students receive this message to ensure they are aware of the policies and expectations for athletic events. Enthusiasm, fun, and excitement are all important parts of the fan experience. Even so, it is my hope and expectation that you will continue to exhibit an exceptional level of sportsmanship demonstrated by your peers and by our outstanding student-athletes.

Here are some very important reminders about attending home football games at Autzen Stadium. Please read the following section closely, as some policies and procedures may have changed, along with potential consequences for violations of these policies and procedures.
|
- You must enter through the SOUTH gates marked “Student General Admission.”
- To avoid congestion at the gates, it is recommended to arrive at Autzen Stadium at least 45 minutes prior to kickoff.
-
You must have your current UO ID card and present your game ticket on your mobile device. Students are not permitted to use the ID of another student to gain entry into the game. Please only request a ticket if you intend to use it. Students found using another student’s ID or ticket will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for misuse of a university ID.
-
You must get a wristband as you enter the student gate. Students who received a ticket via the student lottery must have a game-specific wristband to sit or stand in the student section. Wristbands are issued only at the clearly marked student entrances at the South Gate. Other gates cannot provide wristbands, and students who enter without one will be denied entry to the student section.
-
It is not permitted to bring alcohol or drugs of any kind into Autzen Stadium. You may be ejected, face student conduct charges, and lose future ticket privileges for a violation of this policy. Individuals appearing visibly intoxicated, or possessing alcohol or other substances, may be denied admission.
- Alcohol must be discarded before entering the bag-check lines. If alcohol is found during the bag check, you may be denied entry to the game and future games.
- Bags and backpacks are prohibited unless they align with the clear bag policy. Please refer to the clear bag policy for specific prohibited and permitted items.
- Autzen Stadium does not allow fans to re-enter the stadium after they have exited at any point during the game.
-
Although beer and wine are sold at concession stands throughout Autzen Stadium to those 21 and older, consumption of alcohol is not permitted in student seating areas.
|
As a reminder, the following items are also prohibited at Autzen Stadium: open umbrellas; glass or metal containers; vacuum bottles or similar insulated containers; open plastic beverage containers unless empty; weapons; fireworks; laser pointers; explosives; and munitions. Students agree, as a condition of the ticket license, to allow inspection of articles capable of concealing prohibited items.
|
Students engaging in behaviors that conflict with campus community values and stadium policies may forfeit ticket privileges, in addition to facing municipal or student conduct action and sanctions under the Student Conduct Code, including for alcohol-related violations. Students found responsible for two or more violations may lose at least one home-game ticket privilege and face other appropriate sanctions.
We are proud of the excitement surrounding Oregon football. As our campus and athletics programs receive increased attention, please remember that our community expectations continue to apply. Camping or setting up tents overnight on campus is not permitted. Game days are better when everyone keeps it respectful, online too. With sports betting everywhere, some fans take a lost bet out on players. Harassing or threatening student-athletes, in person or on social media, is not who we are as Ducks and goes against our student code of conduct. If gambling is becoming difficult to manage, free and confidential support is available through the university’s Collegiate Recovery Center and Mental Health Services (541-346-3227) as well as the Oregon Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-877-MY-LIMIT (opgr.org), available 24/7.
I hope the spotlight on our campus community shines brightly on our outstanding athletic programs and on our students at their best. Please help remind your friends and fellow students about the importance of being good sports, positive fans, and gracious hosts.
Thanks for your assistance and for your enthusiastic support of Oregon athletics. Go Ducks!
