Thank you to everyone who attended our 2023 NAM Presidents Reception. More than 70 physicians, residents, and medical students gathered to celebrate and install Dr. Michael Beckham as our 2023 president. Notable guests included former presidents of NAM, members of the NAM and MFN Boards of Directors, and representatives from the TMA Board of Trustees and executive committee.
A few accomplishments from 2022 highlighted during the President's Reception include:
- Membership growth has been excellent! NAM welcomed 378 new members into our association including practicing physicians, residents and medical students.
- In 2022, NAM maintained nearly 2,200 members! We have continued to set membership growth records in the past five years.
- In May, NAM had the largest representation of any medical society in Tennessee at the 2022 TMA House of Delegates. Thank you to all of our members for supporting organized medicine in a unified way!
- NAM hosted and partnered to promote over 20 events and meetings for our members in 2022.

You can reach the Tennessee legislature and have an impact on medicine! On March 7, physicians from around Tennessee will meet in Nashville for Doctors' Day on the Hill. Elections for the Tennessee Medical Association are occuring this month, and will end on February 28th at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Members will be using a new voting platform this year. You should have received a personal, secure ballot via email from communications@tnmed.org with the subject line, “Cast Your Vote in the 2023 TMA Leadership Election." | TennCare Episodes of Care Annual Feedback | |
On March 23, the Division of TennCare invites you to the virtual Annual Feedback Session for the Episodes of Care Program. This Session is Open to all stakeholders to share successes, ask questions, and give feedback to improve program design. The entire session is anticipated to take approx. one hour; however, the session will conclude when all feedback is given. This is a free event, although registration is required.
