Get into the spooky spirit this fall with a pumpkin painting bonanza! Decorate a pumpkin and display it at the library. After a week of public voting, the owners of the prettiest pumpkins will win a carving kit! Pumpkins and painting supplies will be provided. Everyone takes their pumpkin home after voting. Slay the Dragon Screening & Video Messages to City Council

"Slay the Dragon" follows ordinary individuals fighting to have their voices heard. Runtime: 101 minutes. After the screening, you're invited to record a 1-minute message to share with Boulder City Council, helping inform their term. You can also choose to include your recording in a special archival project at Carnegie Library.

Support access to books for everyone by checking out or reserving one of our three new Books-in-a-Bag kits for reading groups. Each kit features a title from last year’s top ten most banned books: Gender Queer, All Boys Aren’t Blue, and The Bluest Eye.
