| Trans Day of Visibility: A Call to Action |
Today, March 31, is International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). RECLAIM is encouraging everyone to take these actions to act in solidarity with transgender people at a time it is needed more than ever.
|
-
Donate to RECLAIM to support financially accessible mental health care for queer and trans youth.
- Check in with a trans person in your life. Ask them how they're doing, what they need, and how you can help. Listen to their concerns, and keep doing it.
-
Volunteer with an organization serving the trans community, such as RECLAIM.
-
Email and call your state and federal representatives and insist they protect the rights and dignity of transgender people and support full participation in public life. If your representatives vote and speak in support of the trans community, thank them! Find your representatives.
-
Share a message of affirmation and support on social media in support of the trans community. Elevate the voices and perspective of trans folks, even if it challenges and makes you uncomfortable.

Spring Flower & Plant Sale |
Spring is in the air, which means it's time to bloom! Our friends at Faith United Methodist Church (St. Anthony) are organizing the annual spring flower & plant sale to benefit RECLAIM. Orders and payments are due by Sunday, April 12 with pick-up on Saturday, May 9. All proceeds go to RECLAIM.
|
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, RECLAIM held our annual Celebrate the Love gala & brunch, bringing together 400 people to support and sustain RECLAIM's work to provide financially accessible, gender-affirming mental health care for queer and trans youth.
Because of the immense generosity of CTL attendees, we unlocked a matching donation through the Clara Foundation and altogether raised over $120,000 - our most successful CTL yet. Every dollar supports financially accessible mental health care for queer and trans youth. Together we press on toward our community support goal of $713,000 this year to ensure that queer and trans youth never lose access to the financially accessible mental health care they deserve to receive.
Our executive director Ryan Fouts shared a few updates about RECLAIM during his address in the program. Last year, RECLAIM:
|
- Served 189 youth
-
Provided 57 sessions of family therapy and 3,270 sessions of individual therapy
- Waived over $104,000 in fees that would have otherwise prevented youth from gaining access to care
- Welcomed Tania Soto as RECLAIM's new Clinical Director
- Held our first Queer, Trans, & Talented youth art showcase with 16 youth participants
|
Earlier this month, RECLAIM therapist Col Cashen completed their last day of work at RECLAIM. We are grateful for Col's three years of service at RECLAIM, capping off a multi-decade career as a mental health professional supporting youth. We wish Col the very best in retirement!
