College of Business Administration Named in Honor of Benefactor and Former Adjunct Professor |
The University of New Orleans College of Business Administration has been named in honor of Henry Bernstein, a generous benefactor of the University and former adjunct professor. The naming of the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration was approved Thursday by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System.

Olivia Monnerjahn, junior marketing major, received the “Rising Star Scholarship” and attended the National Retail Foundation Student Program in New York in January.

Dr. Walter Lane, professor of economics and finance, and Randy Kearns, associate professor of healthcare management, recently traveled to Putian, China. They presented lectures in English to strengthen Putian University students' English skills and prepare them to study in the United States.

An exclusive group enjoyed Chef Mark’s HRT classes’ first luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 31. To start the semester off, Chef Mark’s HRT-2030/2035 Principles of Food Production class prepared a beautiful meal of salad, exquisite entrees and crème brûlée.

Next month, our Model UN students will participate in the 2024 National Model United Nations conferences in New York. Debating and resolution-writing sessions will culminate in a final meeting in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations headquarters.
