LUNCH AT THE ACADEMY - NUTRITIOUS AND DELICIOUS

Want a break from packing lunch? Want to be sure your child gets a healthy, substantial, and satisfying mid-day meal that meets their dietary needs?

Chef Stan Langston always provides a vegetarian option and with adequate notice can address gluten, dairy, egg, and other allergies and sensitivities, too. We encourage you to encourage your child to sign up for lunches each morning to give it a try. These are billed to your account, and should you be interested in signing up in advance for the entire year, please submit this form to the Business Office.

SAFETY MATTER: DESIGNATED STUDENT DROP OFF AREA

Students must be dropped off in the mornings in front of Grinnell Hall (smaller building) for the safety of all. The parking lots next to the recital hall and behind Hobbs Hall must be kept free from temporary traffic congestion caused by drop off, in order for faculty and student drivers to be able to park safely. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please Complete the APC Volunteer Survey!
For those parents who did not attend Registration or did not have a chance to complete the APC Volunteer Survey, please take a moment to do so hereThere are many ways that parents can help our school, some small, some large. The survey gives you a chance to see and sign up for volunteer opportunities or offer skills/services that The Academy has yet to discover about you.

Classroom Close-Ups

Freshpersons took advantage of the cooler air and comfortable seating in BZ’s office for a
small group close reading of The Odyssey

6th and 7th graders worked on learning about topographical maps and creating stories about potential hikes in various National State Parks.

SPORTS RECAP, Week of September 4

On Thursday, The Academy’s JV coed soccer team lost a close away game to Four Rivers by a score of 4-3, playing from behind for the entire contest. Atticus R had two goals (one of them assisted by Anna P-C) and Charlie P scored once.  Emmy P-C and Nick F played well on offense, while Anders G-B did a nice job in goal, making six saves. The Four Rivers goalie may have been the difference in the game, making 16 saves on many excellent Charlemont shots.
Working through the heat, the cross country team trained around campus.
