  1. 2023 is finally here! A new year and a new semester. For some of our Lakers, this is the final leg of the journey. We are looking forward to celebrating your accomplishments in Winter 2023. You got this!

  2. The University Counseling Office has partnered with Togetherall to provide a new mental health resource to our Lakers. It is an online community for students to anonymously share feelings and receive help from peers as well as licensed mental health professionals, available 24/7. You can check out the service on the University Counseling Center's website.

  3. This week, we are hosting two sessions of the Winter 2023 Project, Thesis, and Dissertation Workshop, on January 18 and 19. All graduate students beginning a thesis or dissertation this semester are REQUIRED to attend. You can register for a session on our website.

  4. The Graduate School is also hosting an Academic Integrity Workshop for all graduate students. The event will be held on Monday, January 23, in the Loosemore Auditorium. All new international graduate students are encouraged to attend! Please register for the workshop on our website.

  5. We would like to congratulate Ally Goerge for her presentation at the 2022 American Public Health Association Annual Conference. Ally's research was on African American breast cancer survivors, looking at the physical and mental health conditions in survivorship. You can read more about the story on our website here!

  6. Finally, The Graduate School would like to share with you our progress in the last school year. We had a busy 2021-2022 school year, with many exciting changes! The GVSU Graduate School Annual Report 2021-2022 is here. We will continue to support all our students, faculty, and staff, and to ensure high-quality graduate education at Grand Valley for many years to come!
