Dear YMCA Sports Families,
As we continue to do everything to keep our sports program safe during this pandemic, let me express my gratitude to you and your athlete for your diligence in following our COVID-19 safety measures.
As you may have heard, COVID-19 cases in Denver have risen dramatically over the past month and yesterday the State of Colorado expanded safety measures in the City and County of Denver.
In accordance with these new guidelines, between October 29-Nov. 11 we will pause our Fall II sport season at the Central Park, Schlessman and Southwest YMCA locations. The season will be extended to accommodate this break.
- Preschool & Kindergarten were scheduled to end 11/21 and will now go through 12/12
- 1st/2nd grade were scheduled to end 12/5 and now will go through 12/19
- 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th grades were scheduled to end on 12/12 but will now go through 12/19
At this time, we do not foresee a need to issue credits or refunds, as we fully expect to resume our season on November 12 and provide our athletes a full season of fun.
With guidelines changing frequently, we appreciate your patience and we will continue to update you as we receive new information.
