Stage 1 Fire Restrictions

On Sept. 24, Sheriff Shrader issued Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for all areas of unincorporated Jefferson County, which includes all of Ken-Caryl Ranch. Please visit the Sheriff's website for details on these restrictions.

New Temporary Entrance for Ranch House Administrative Offices

Due to Bond Project construction, the entrance to the Ranch House Administrative Offices will be temporarily closed starting Monday, Oct. 5 until the first phase of the project is completed in December. To visit an employee in the Administrative Offices, please use the Recreation Offices entrance on the opposite end of the building. Signage will be in place to direct you.

Bond Projects Groundbreaking Ceremony Oct. 6

The community is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ken-Caryl Ranch Bond Projects on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Join us outside next to the playground for the ceremonial groundbreaking and a short reception to celebrate everyone's hard work in helping these projects come to fruition.

New Dues Payment Options in 2016; Coupon Books No Longer Automatically Provided

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association is looking forward to a change in our dues collection process beginning in 2016. Many of you (almost 80 percent) pay your dues electronically without using a paper coupon. So in an effort to keep up with our paperless society, effective Jan. 1, 2016, we will no longer be automatically providing paper coupons. However, if you would like to receive a monthly invoice, we can email one to you each month. If you would like to sign up to receive an invoice, please send a message with your name, address and email address to Annette Chavez at annettec@kcranch.org. Your email address will be kept confidential and used only for KCRMA business. If you would still like to receive a paper coupon book for 2016 we can order one for you for a fee of $5. You can download a Coupon Book Order Form or call Annette at 303-979-1876, ext. 112. Our website also lists all of the ways to pay your dues electronically.

Flu Immunization Clinics

The Colorado Flu Shot Company will be providing the four-strain (Quadrivalent) flu vaccine at flu immunization clinics at the Community Center. The new Quadrivalent flu vaccine protects against two strains of Influenza A and two strains of Influenza B. Vaccinations will be provided by a pediatric RN.

Intranasal Flu Mist Quadrivalent Preservative Free: $40 (2 to 49 year olds without chronic diseases)
Flu Shot Quadrivalent: $40 (for ages 6 month olds and older)  
Dates: Sundays, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 1
Time: 1-4 p.m. No appointment necessary.

Drawing Basics Class

Develop your drawing skills with fun exercises that demonstrate design principles: value, composition, mark-making, etc. while learning to “see” like an artist. Students will complete a finished composition during class.

Parent Lecture Series: College Fit Workshop Oct. 7

How do you find the right college fit for your child and your finances? Join Mary Francavilla, a long-time Ken-Caryl resident, on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ranch House as she provides a free workshop on this very subject. She’ll discuss topics such as college size, financial aid, scholarship search, and how to move forward with confidence. This workshop is open to junior and senior students and parents. The workshop is sponsored by Mathnasium.

KCCN Upcoming Events: Guys' Night and Parenting Safe Children Workshop

The KCCN Guys' Night is a monthly event for guys who live in the Ken-Caryl community and are a part of KCCN to get to know each other better. Whether you are new to KC or have lived here for years, all are welcome! The next Guys' Night will be a night of yard games, pizza and brews at a member's house. Oct. 25: Parenting Safe Children Workshop

Do you know how to educate your children about keeping their bodies safe without frightening them? KCCN and KCRMD invite you to an inspiring workshop, “Parenting Safe Children: Preventing Child Sexual Abuse, One Community at a Time” presented by Feather Berkower, MSW and licensed clinical social worker.
