Architect Hired for Bond Projects

The Metropolitan District Board contracted with the Denver architectural design firm of Sink, Combs & Dethlefs to provide architectural services for the facility bond projects. Sink, Combs & Dethlefs is a nationally recognized leader in planning and design for recreation, athletic and multipurpose facilities. On May 6, voters in the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District passed Bond Issue 5A, authorizing up to $7.9 million in municipal bonds to finance park and recreation improvements for the community. The plan for construction is to have the Ranch House, Community Center and Dakota Lodge under construction simultaneously for cost efficiencies. Construction is expected to start in September 2015 and continue through May 2016. See the Bond & Improvement Projects page for more information and email bondprojects@kcranch.org with any questions or comments.

Christmas Tree Mulching

The Parks Department is accepting Christmas trees for chipping at the Equestrian Center now through Sunday, Jan. 18. Please be sure to remove any non-coniferous items such as metallic materials and tinsel before bringing your trees, as many materials can damage the chipping equipment. The mulch will be applied at the base of trees and shrubs in parks and greenbelts.
