Good Evening,
In May, the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame will induct four new print journalists, and a television broadcaster:
Nancy Cominsky, the first female managing editor of The Indianapolis News, and later, the deputy managing editor of The Indianapolis Star, after the 1995 merger of the Star and News.
Dick Florea worked 35 years in Fort Wayne TV, retiring in 2001 from what was then the NBC affiliate in town: WKJG-TV (Channel 33, Fort Wayne). Mr. Florea lead the news team as News Director and anchored. Before joining "NBC 33", Mr. Florea worked in Marion radio (WMRI) and TV (WTAF-TV), and at Purdue University (WBAA).
Andrea Neal covered the Supreme Court for United Press International, and then worked as a journalist with The Indianapolis Star. Ms. Neal also authored several books, including a 2018 biography on Vice President Mike Pence.
Stephanie Salter was a newspaper journalist at several newspapers across the country. Ms. Salter wrapped her career as a Terre Haute Tribune-Star columnist in her hometown.
Matthew Tully was a journalist for the Gary Post-Tribune, Congressional Quarterly, and then he joined The Indianapolis Star. Mr. Tully died last October of cancer at age 49.

Born Robert Paul Foster, Bob Richards began broadcasting in college, at Wartburg College in Iowa (KWAR). His broadcasting career continued at several Iowa radio stations. Then, the Hoosier state beckoned, where he worked morning drive at WGBF (1280am) in Evansville, along with broadcasting for the "Thunder on the Ohio") in Evansville, and the Indianapolis 500. While in Indianapolis, he did morning drive at what was then WNAP (93.1fm), and afternoons at what was then WIBC (1070am). Mr. Richards died on March 12 at age 68. Here's the complete obituary.
Where Are They Now? Former WISH-TV GM Les Vann has lead WHNS-TV in Greenville, South Carolina for about 2 years. Mr. Vann will soon retire from the GM chair there, and focus on battling Parkinson's.
