For this one-year project, representatives from 25 medical respite programs will participate in three virtual sessions to identify patient-centered outcomes research topics and prioritize research questions for medical respite care practice. (An in-person convening is tentatively scheduled for August 2021; however, if meeting in person is not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions, this convening will be held virtually.)

| APHA 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo: Call for Abstracts and Reviewers Now Open

The American Public Health Association is now accepting abstracts for the APHA 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo. The Caucus on Homelessness looks forward to highlighting research in the HCH field through the lens of Strengthening Social Connectedness; more details and suggested submission tracks for those interested can be found here. The deadline to submit to the Caucus is March 21, 2021.
The Call for Reviewers will open on February 1. Those interested in reviewing abstracts for the Caucus on Homelessness should complete the Reviewer Submission Form. Submissions to review should include name, affiliation, email, and area(s) of expertise. The deadline to submit to review is February 26, 2021.

| Apply Now: Council Launches New SDOH Learning Collaborative in February

The National Health Care for the Homeless Council is launching a learning collaborative in February on "Screening and Addressing Social Determinants of Health." At every session, a presentation will be given by an expert at the forefront of care. Topics will include the impact of SDOH on unhoused communities; the benefits of screener utilization; risk stratification of an SDOH screener tool; and the workforce and SDOH. This is a three-year project to ensure that participants have the support needed as they implement a new model.

| HRSA Webinar Series Explores Behavioral Health in the Context of COVID-19

Registration is open for the first in a series of webinars hosted by the Health Resources & Services Administration and the Northeast Telehealth Resource Center. "Strategies for Addressing the Behavioral Health Needs of Unsheltered and Vulnerable Populations During the Pandemic" will be presented on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. (Eastern). Participants will discuss tips and strategies for addressing access to behavioral health services for the unsheltered and other vulnerable homeless populations while still maintaining safe public health practices meant to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Webinar presenters will include two leaders from Council member Duffy Health Center -- CEO Heidi Nelson and Senior Director of Program Services Patricia Cawley.
