Ivan Allen College Communications has a great upcoming opportunity for faculty interested in media training. Introductory media training is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Savant Building Conference Room 115. Space is limited and registration is required.

The Office of the Executive Vice President for Research invites faculty and staff to submit information about book(s) they authored or edited that were published between January 2022 and December 2023. Publications will be honored at the third annual Georgia Tech Authors' Celebration on Thursday, Apr. 11. Submissions are due by Friday, Jan. 19.

Chris Ippolito (ModLangs) presented his research and served on a panel about "Pandemic Impacts: Reflections on Saving French Programs" at the South Atlantic Modern Language Association colloquium. The panel was selected for the Amos Distinguished Chair Sponsorship Award.

Victoria Chang's (LMC) forthcoming book of poems, With My Back to the World (FSG, April 2024) was named to the spring 2024 top 10 list of poetry books in Publishers Weekly. In the book, Chang explores feminism, art, depression, time, grief, and loss through artist Agnes Martin's abstract paintings and writings.

Philip Auslander (LMC) participated in the "Performing Social Space" symposium at New York University. Auslander also served as a panelist for In Conversation: Paul Pfeiffer at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia.
