Summer in Wisconsin is a time of abundance and fullness—abundant and productive prairies, wetlands, backyard gardens, and blueberry patches, and the fullness of the summer heat. It is a time to enjoy and celebrate the gifts offered by the diverse ecosystems of our state. We are excited to share stories where we lead and support efforts to ensure the richness and offerings of the outdoors are accessible to all, and where the systems we rely on for food, beauty, recreation, and overall wellness withstand the many changes experienced and are healthy for generations to come. This summer, Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center has been rolling out accessible options for all of its visitors. From adaptive kayaks to American Sign Language (ASL) summer camps, the Center has many options available. Learn more on our blog!

The Climate Ready Midwest grant project recently launched, making waves in Extension's collaborations in climate-smart agriculture. The project involves finding creative ways to help Extension leaders and educators from the top down and ultimately empowering Midwestern farmers. Visit their new blog or mailing list to learn more.

Come out August 19th for the 10th Annual Invasive Species Snapshot Day! Each year, volunteers gather to collect valuable data on invasive species populations across the state.  Once reported, this data is used to design ecosystem management plans. Becoming a volunteer for this event is quick, easy, and protects your local environment.

This fall, Extension professionals from the North Central Region Water Network will be visiting the Climate, Water, Equity, and Opportunity Workshop. The team will meet with groups from land-grant universities, including Tribal colleges and historically Black land-grant universities. Hear from the hosts on their goals for the workshop!

Interested in your land, its resources, and how to care for it? Sign up for a course hosted by natural resources professionals on topics like invasive plants, attracting wildlife, tree management, and resource planning!

Classes are offered in multiple Wisconsin counties from September to November.
