Summer in Wisconsin is a time of abundance and fullness—abundant and productive prairies, wetlands, backyard gardens, and blueberry patches, and the fullness of the summer heat. It is a time to enjoy and celebrate the gifts offered by the diverse ecosystems of our state. We are excited to share stories where we lead and support efforts to ensure the richness and offerings of the outdoors are accessible to all, and where the systems we rely on for food, beauty, recreation, and overall wellness withstand the many changes experienced and are healthy for generations to come. Please join us in learning together through courses you can register for below and giving back where possible through volunteer days available in your community!

What are you most looking forward to in this position?
Throughout my education and my working as a post-master's, I’ve seen a lot of responses to environmental contamination and I’ve seen the confusion that happens whenever there’s a new site, between the residents and state agencies and the local partners they work with to respond. I’m excited to help work on that, and help make that whole process smoother … and I’m excited to work with the NRI because I think it’s a really cool program and I have for a while.
Favorite part of the outdoors?
My favorite part of the outdoors is the people ... I love the community around the outdoors. One of my favorite hobbies is rock climbing, so I do that a lot. And I love all the people I’ve met rock climbing and how much they love the outdoors.
