December 4, 2024
PHUMC Women's Ministry has chosen MadCAAP's Holiday Adopt a Child for their Christmas mission. Every year MadCAAP aids with Christmas presents for children whose parents have completed 12 hours of an educational program provided by MadCAAP. This year they had nearly 600 children eligible. We have 8 names left on the tree. To help, pick up an envelope in the back of the worship center. It includes directions and the information of the child.
Deliver your wrapped, labeled gifts to MadCAAP December 14: 9:00-4:00; December 16: 10:00-4:00, 17 or 18: 9:00-4:00. If you need assistance getting your gifts to MadCAAP, let Pastor Dawn know.
The weather is not looking hopeful for our movie night.  We will let you know Sunday morning but for now, still make plans to join us (weather permitting) on the lawn at Parkway Hills Sunday, December 8 at 4:30 pm for party food, Christmas movies, reindeer food packing, and a Christmas craft. Bring a blanket or chair and invite a friend. Parents of children 5th grade and under must remain with their children.
*If weather does not allow us to meet outside, Bridge and Youth will still gather in the youth room at 5:00 pm for a Christmas movie.
Calling all United Methodist Men of the Mississippi Conference,

The celebration continues, but due to the recent fire at the Crestview apartment complex which affected 8 East Flora families, the school has made a shift and the banquet will feed those families. A group of PHUMC members helped sort donated clothes this week at East Flora and we need you to help serve the meal Saturday, December 14. We will need 5 volunteers for this event. We will meet at the church at 5 p.m. on Saturday to carpool to East Flora Elementary School. We will be back at the church by 8 p.m. Thanks to your giving PHUMC is able to provide the meal. Please let Haven know if you can volunteer by using this link to sign up by December 10.

Help us provide a welcoming and meaningful worship experience this Christmas season at Parkway Hills.  Your presence is part of how we share and celebrate the story of Emmanuel, God With Us, with those who will gather in worship with us. We need greeters and communion servers for our 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm Christmas Eve services as well as readers for our December 29th Carols and Lessons.  Click here, see which slot works best for you, and sign up to aid us with this special season within the life of our church.

This Sunday is our Kids' Christmas Worship program. Please have your child in the Worship Center by 9:30 am (please be on time), and stay with your child to help with the run-through.
We always need volunteers to aid with our kids ministry.

December Communion Offering, $588.00 to date, supports Little Light of Mine offering for Methodist Children's Homes of Mississippi, aiding with the daily ministry of MCH. Without our church’s support of the Little Light of Mine Special Offering, MCH would not be able to care for the hundreds of children and youth they serve each year.
