New Mailroom – Anticipated Opening
We are excited to share that the new mailroom is almost ready! Each resident’s new mail key and box number will be delivered in an envelope to the temporary mail trailer beginning around Thursday, Mar. 11. Please allow USPS a couple of days to deliver all keys.
Please note that your box number will change. Although the new keys will be delivered soon, the new mailboxes will not be immediately ready for use. We will notify residents once the new mailroom is officially open, however, we anticipate a few days after key delivery.
When picking up your envelope, please ensure the address on it matches your home address. Once the keys have been delivered, residents will have one week to pick up their new keys.
If you are out of town and unable to pick up your keys before the temporary trailer is removed, please visit the Carbondale USPS. Bring a photo ID and a piece of mail showing your address.

This winter has been unusual. With low snowpack and warm spells, early signs of spring are appearing across the valley. "Daffodils and spring parsley are blooming down valley. Chickadees and juncos are active during milder days." These changes raise good questions: What happens to small mammals that normally live beneath the snow? Are black bears waking early? While experts don't always agree on the effects of temperature and snowpack, most agree that daylight is the primary cue that guides winter behavior in animals.
Before exploring how wildlife responds, it helps to understand a few key terms related to winter survival.

Keep Dogs Leashed & Away From Wildlife |
|
|
|
Now that the golf course has reopened as of March 4, walking on the course is no longer permitted. Please remember to keep your dogs leashed at all times and be sure to clean up after your pet.
We have received feedback concerning dogs chasing mule deer on the course. We implore homeowners to keep their pets away from the local wildlife and don’t forget — Carbondale’s leash laws apply in RVR.

Carbondale Advances Wildfire Preparedness |
|
|
The Town of Carbondale is using new, advanced wildfire modeling to better understand how wildfire could spread through our community and how to reduce risk. To make the modeling as accurate as possible, residents are asked to complete a quick, voluntary home survey. The information will only be used for wildfire planning (not inspections or enforcement), and participants can be entered to win local prizes. Click here to take the survey.

Block F and Block A Painting Contract Inclusion Policy |
|
|
At the January RVRMA board meeting, the Board of Directors discussed a proposed amendment to the Painting Contract Inclusion Policy for Block F (Old Town) and Block A (The Settlement).
The Old Town Advisory Committee requested the removal of the obligation to fund a $750 siding repair allowance requirement, while The Settlement’s policy was revised for clarity and retains the allowance.
The draft policy has been available on the RVRMA website homepage. Questions or feedback may be directed to Ashley Lynch at ashley.lynch@rvrma.org who can share all communications with the Executive Board of Directors.
The board will vote on the amended policy at its March meeting.

Our fitness classes will offer a waitlist option if a class is full. If a class reaches capacity, you’re welcome to join the waitlist and will receive an email notification if a spot becomes available. Once notified, you will have 12 hours to accept or decline the opening before it is offered to the next person on the waitlist.
We kindly ask that registered members monitor their email for class updates and respond to waitlist notifications promptly so we can accommodate as many members as possible. Our Front Desk team is happy to help facilitate the process when possible, but we strongly encourage members to keep an eye on their notifications to ensure they don’t miss an opportunity. As a reminder, members may register for classes up to 5 days in advance.
If your plans change and you’re unable to attend a class, please call the Front Desk at 970.963.6300 so we can release your spot for another member to enjoy.
*Please note: Members who register for a class and do not attend will be charged the $4 class fee. We do not currently have a separate late cancellation or no-show fee.

Meet Our New Instructor, Gavin Webb! |
|
|
|
Gavin Webb is a Willits native and Basalt High School graduate with a lifelong passion for sports and movement. After competing in football and snowboarding, he developed a deep interest in training during middle school, influenced by his mother, a personal trainer, and his sister, a physical therapy assistant.
Now an ISSA-certified trainer, Gavin specializes in functional and corrective training. He identifies as a hybrid athlete, prioritizing strength, mobility, and resilience. He believes clients don’t have to choose between looking strong and feeling strong — they can build both. His mission is simple: help people of all ages move confidently, perform better, and become stronger, more capable athletes.
