Wednesday F Blocks
Each week, our community gathers in either a whole school format, or smaller groups like classes, councils, or advisories for our Wednesday F block (2:10-3:00 PM). Often, when gathered as a whole group, we are treated to presentations by community members and/or visitors, and this is a time when the "extended family" (parents, friends, trustees, alumni) of The Academy is welcome to join us. Please check this section of the Bulletin for weekly updates about the following week's Wednesday F block. This coming Wednesday, November 18, will be our Fall Athletic Awards. The F block that occurs following our return from Thanksgiving break (December 2), will be a presentation from participants in Marlboro College's new Speech Matters seminar. This inaugural version of the Speech Matters seminar is entitled "Re-framing the Addiction Debate", and we will be given a preview of what participants will be present to policy makers in Washington, DC later on in December. We welcome parents, friends, and our whole extended Academy family to both of these upcoming events.

WITH GRATITUDE
The Academy is infinitely grateful for the dedication and hard work on the part of so many parents which resulted in a hugely successful 12th Annual Cornucopia Auction. About 100 current and former parents and grandparents, faculty and staff members, alumni/ae, and friends of the school gathered together in a beautifully transformed recital hall. Thank you - and congratulations  - to all who played a part in making the evening a special one! Together, you raised about  $19,000 for our school!
COMMUNITY SERVICE COUNCIL COAT DRIVE
Once again, the Community Service Council is collecting clean, warm, used coats and jackets to distribute to those in need. The group has set a goal for this year of 55, based on last year's success. As of today, we have already received 11!
Fall Exhibition &
Benefit Dinner
This year's Fall Exhibition will take place on November 16 at 6:15 PM and feature the work of Academy seniors, as well as 9th grade Biology projects, 8th grade French student projects, and 7th grade Climate Connections projects.. The Gender and Sexuality Alliance will host a Benefit Dinner at 5:15 PM. Enjoy a delicious meal of pasta, salad, and bread before viewing the students' projects at Fall Exhibition.
