KCRMD Board to Discuss Mill Levy at Aug. 21 MeetingThe Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (KCRMD) Board of Directors may be conducting an election in November 2018 to seek voter approval to increase its mill levy. The Board will make a final decision about the election at its next meeting on Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House. We encourage you to attend. Please see the letter linked below for details.

Bear Scat Found in The Spread Neighborhood
Over the weekend, a resident discovered bear scat in her yard in the Spread neighborhood, which is located near the Ranch House in the Ken-Caryl Ranch Plains. There have also been bear sightings in the Valley, but sightings in the Plains are rare. Remember to remove all ATTRACTANTS:
- Remove birdfeeders until winter when bears are not active.
- Place garbage cans outside for pick-up in the morning (by 7 a.m.) on trash day.
- Burn food off barbeque grills and clean after use.
- Remove ripened fruit that has fallen to the ground.

Community Center Pool HoursThe Community Center Pool will remain open through Monday, Sept. 3. Late-summer hours for the Community Center Pool are posted at the link below. The Ranch House and Bradford Pools are closed for the season.

Attention Fitness Center MembersThe Community Center main building will close on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. for carpet shampooing and floor maintenance. The pool and locker rooms will be open until 7 p.m.

Story Time and Baby Time at the Ranch HouseWe have partnered again with Jefferson County Libraries to offer family fun while sharing our love of children’s literature. Baby Time is geared toward children under 2 years of age, but all ages are welcome. Story Time is for all ages. The program is free, and no registration is required.
