QUICK QUACK: PORTLAND STUDENT EDITION
PORTLAND EVENTS
  • Meet students from other UO Portland progams at Welcome Week: White Stag Sites and Snacks on Wednesday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m. with building and roof tours.
  • Enjoy snacks and games at Welcome Week: Naito Night of Nibbles on Thursday, September 27 at 5:00 p.m. at Lundquist College of Business.
  • Meet people from all UO Portland programs on Monday, October 1 at 4:00 p.m. at the Faculty, Staff, and Student Social. Refreshments provided.
  • The Portland Student Council discusses school wide events and issues. Everyone is welcome! Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 5:00 p.m. Join us on October 3 in the White Stag Student Lounge.
  • The Job Search Group will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon–1:30 p.m. beginning October 16. Connect with other 2018 UO alumni and graduating students looking for work. Email careerpdx@uoregon.edu to reserve your spot.
  • A Loan Repayment Workshop and Financial Aid Counseling will be held in October about repaying your student loans. Watch your email for an exact date and time. For specific questions, contact the Financial Aid Office.

  • UO Portland partners with Portland State University Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) to provide health, counseling, and dental services to Portland students.
  • The Academic Affairs office in suite 320 has discounted TriMet passes for UO Portland students.
  • Find student resources on UO Portland's Student Life page.
  • Technology help tickets can be placed by any student with technology-related questions.
  • ID card not working or notice something in a building that needs to be repaired? Fill out a facility and maintenance request (anyone is welcome to do this).
  • Security escort services are provided for all students leaving the building. To schedule, call
    503-710-8004 at least 15 minutes prior to your departure.
PORTLAND TALKS AND LECTURES
NOTEWORTHY IN PORTLAND
  • The Portland Art Museum offers free admission on the first Thursday of every month from 5:00–8:00 p.m.
  • The Portland Film Festival will be October 22–28. Independent films will be at movie theaters around the city.
