A Reflection from the University Chaplaincy
Dear friends,

As summer unfolds on the Hill, the Tufts University Chaplaincy has remained meaningfully active—just a little quieter. Right in the Interfaith Center, we’ve welcomed the soft sound of change: new carpets now grace the space, offering a refreshed atmosphere for reflection, worship, and gathering. In parallel, our chaplains have been on the move—attending national conferences, deepening their professional development, and returning renewed with ideas and resources for the coming year.

While it is certainly less busy on campus, there are students and staff who come through the chapel daily, and we treasure this slower time for connection. Below you can find more about what we are up to in these summer months, from updating resources, to hosting weekly meditations, to community book clubs. Please join us!

Looking ahead, we’re filled with hope. We envision fall semester gatherings filled with meaningful conversations, joyful celebrations, and a deep sense of community across traditions. We’re planning interfaith meals, spiritual retreats, welcome events, and new student-centered initiatives across all four campuses that reflect our shared commitment to curiosity, justice, and belonging.

May the rest of your summer be restful and radiant.

Sincerely,
The University Chaplaincy Team
