Reminder: Walk-In Hours for the Fulbright UK Summer Institutes
January 18 and 22
The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three-to-four week, fully-funded programmes for US freshmen and sophomores with a minimum 3.7 GPA. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university. ONIF will be holding Fulbright UKSI WALK-IN HOURS from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on the above dates. Students may walk-in with general questions OR bring drafts of their applications for review. Drop by or email ONIF with any questions. 
ONIF is in University Hall, Suite 1879. Once you enter UHall, head towards the Crimson Lion. Before you reach the restaurant, enter the elevator lobby on your right and walk through the metal door marked “1762-1859”. Once you enter the hallway, walk towards and enter the LMU Extension office in UH 1863. Suite 1879 is tucked in the back of the Extension offices.

All or Most Disciplines 
Fund for Education Abroad- Deadline: January 10 for Summer 2018, Fall 2018, or Spring 2019. EA is committed to increasing the opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs by reducing financial restrictions through the provision of grants and scholarships.
The Baer Reintegration Scholarship- Deadline: January 12. The Baer Reintegration Scholarship is open to individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder or - as of October 2013 - Major Depressive Disorder.
University of Warwick Chancellor's International Scholarship- Deadline: January 19. For 2018/19 entry there will be 25 Chancellor's International Scholarships available to be awarded to the most outstanding international PhD applicants. 
Library of Congress Junior Fellows Summer Internship Program- Deadline: January 26. The Library of Congress Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program enables undergraduate and graduate students to experience the integrated analog and digital collections and services of the world's largest, all-inclusive library. Working under the direction of Library curators and specialists in various divisions, fellows explore digital initiatives and increase access to the institution’s unparalleled collections and resources. Fellows are exposed to a broad spectrum of library work: copyright, preservation, reference, access, and information technology. Apply through USAJobs.
Friends Committee on National Legislation Young Fellows Program- Deadline: February 12. Recent college graduates spend 11 months working with key staff members at FCNL to build expertise in advocacy from a public interest perspective. The program is full-time and paid a salary at the DC living wage standard with benefits. Fellows work under the title “program assistant” and work directly with FCNL lobbyists and other senior staff, gaining first-hand knowledge of the legislative process and the organizing and communications work that is necessary for policy change. Young fellows work full-time from late August through the end of the following July. 

Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts
Hertog War Studies Program- Deadline: February 12. an intensive two-week program run by the Institute for the Study of War in Washington DC. The program aims to educate advanced undergraduate students about the theory, practice, organization, and control of war and military forces. Over the course of two weeks, students will learn from and interact with distinguished senior leaders in the national security and military communities. Students will gain a deeper understanding of specific topics in military history and their intersection with modern warfare and policy. All students will receive a stipend of $1,500 in addition to housing, meals, and subsidized transportation to and within Washington, DC.
Hertog Summer 2018 Political Studies & Summer Courses- Deadline: February 12. Each year, the Hertog Foundation brings together top college students to the nation’s capital to explore the theory and practice of politics in an intensive seminar setting with outstanding faculty. This summer’s offerings provide students the flexibility to create their ideal summer experience – by applying for a seven-week summer fellowship or choosing among one- to two-week seminars to create their own individualized course of study. All students receive full scholarships, complimentary dormitory accommodations, and a stipend to offset travel and living expenses.

College of Business Administration
Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship- Deadline: January 29. The ACFE Foundation supports the education of students who have an interest in pursuing a career in fraud examination. The scholarship of up to $10,000 provides an opportunity for students to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths. Many of these outstanding and deserving students go on to become Certified Fraud Examiners.

Frank R. Seaver College of Science & Engineering
Microsoft Tuition Scholarship- Deadline: February 9. Microsoft awards tuition scholarships each year to encourage students to pursue studies in Computer Science and related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines. Recipients for both scholarships will be awarded in recognition of their demonstrated passion for technology, academic excellence, and leadership while working to push the software industry forward.
Other Notable Opportunities
LMU's Center for Service and Action Advocacy Teach-In- Deadline: January 22. 
An annual event dedicated to providing the LMU community tools to effectively take action for social justice through local community organizations. This year it will be on Saturday, January 27th from 9-11:30 am. will focus on Global Citizenship and how to be the best advocate you can be!
