Dear A-State Student,
We are watching the forecasts for Hurricane Dorian from here in Jonesboro, and I want to reach out to check on you and your family.
This is especially so for online students who are living in the region. We know you may be struggling to keep up with coursework while either evacuating or preparing to ride out the storm if Dorian makes a turn toward landfall in your area. Or, if you have been deployed to the region to assist, we know you may face similar challenges.
We want to know you are OK. Please respond back to my email to let our support staff for A-State Online how you are doing. If you are having difficulties with your class because of the storm, reach out to your instructors directly to keep them in the loop.
Arkansas State’s provost has a long-standing policy regarding weather-related disasters. We ask that our faculty and instructors be flexible and responsible regarding classes and assignments.
Please know that our thoughts are with you.
